Brilhart 3-Band Alto Ligature Vintage MPC264
This is a highly-desirable vintage Brilhart-made 3-Band alto saxophone ligature with delrin screws and plastic reed plate. These were deluxe when they were first sold, and they were popularized recently by Kenny Garrett on alto. The plastic on the reed plate is somewhat worn, but the ligature functions well and is in good shape otherwise.

Brilhart Personaline Alto L5 MPC183
The Personaline is one of the best vintage alto pieces for a balanced, projecting alto tone that doesn’t sound just like every other mouthpiece. It was Brilihart’s top-of-the-line in its day, and is well made with the marbled tooth guard and gold lettering. The L5 is a comfortable .067″ tip that is around a Meyer 4. Works great with a medium reed. The oval-shaped medium chamber has a slanting floor and and slanted down side walls. I like this piece for its crisp, lively alto sound and for being nice and easy to play. The facing is original and cloudly looking with curved machine marks. There are a few tiny nicks in the outside of the rails, but nothing that affects playability.

Brilhart Tonalin 3 Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece MPC 369
0.084″ tip opening (modern 5*), rollover baffle, straight sidewalls, med-large chamber for Brilhart. This is one of my favorite Brilharts. I think the baffle and sound match my go to Tone Edge type sound. low resistance, good projection, bright but not too thin sounding like some plastic Brilharts are.

Dukoff D9 Alto Mouthpiece .089″ Screamer MPC261
It goes to eleven. This is an original box Dukoff Super Power Chamber alto piece. Are you in a college pep band and sick of getting drowned out by the trumpets? Do you need to cut through a rock band on alto? Say hi to your new friend. Once you get used to the large tip opening, you can put a ton of air through your horn and really scream on this piece. Better workmanship on this than on the modern Dukoff pieces. Includes original box, ligature and cap.

Dukoff Miami D5 alto saxophone mouthpiece G03

Dukoff Miami D5 Clear Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece F71
This is a rare and desirable clear Dukoff Miami alto piece. It is the same as the Sanborn-style metal ones, but it is made out of “crystallite” which. I have the metal version of this piece right now as well, and if time allows, I’ll check back with any obvious impressions about differences between the two.

Dukoff Miami D7 Alto The Sanborn Piece MPC263
It goes to eleven. This is a Miami, FL Dukoff Super Power Chamber alto piece in a D7 tip opening. This is what David Sanborn has famously played for many years. The tip measures .081″ and the facing is original. This includes the rare vintage plastic ligature and original cap. There is quite a bit of wear in the tooth guard area, and that could be cleaned up, but I just left it so you can do what you want with it. I would probably take off the extra tooth guard, clean it, and put a new clear vandoren one on there, and it should be good. These pieces show better workmanship than on the modern Dukoff pieces.

Goldbeck Chicago IL Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece Huge Chamber
Goldbeck Chicago, IL metal tenor saxophone mouthpiece in good condition. It’s an original B tip, which is quite small at .061. The shank diameter is smaller than average, so you might need a thinner cork. The chamber is HUGE. The wider body accommodates the huge chamber with no baffle. If you want to be very dark and quiet, or play with a very hard reed, you could play this as is, or get it refaced and it will be big and dark like an Otto Link MasterLink but cheaper. If you are looking for the largest chamber possible on tenor, this could be a good fit.

King Super 20 1950s Original Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece MPC370
Complete your set with a King Super 20 from the 1950’s! This King mouthpiece is strikingly white. On the interior it is very similar to a classic Brilhart shape: very mild rollover baffle, and mostly straight sidewalls. It has a tip opening of 0.065″. It plays a little bigger and brighter than the tip opening suggests. The tip and side rails are in great condition.

Lawton 5* Baritone New Old Stock Geoff Lawton Sr. F63
This is a new old stock Lawton baritone mouthpiece that has been unplayed for decades. It was purchased from Geoff Lawton Sr. and put away for safe keeping until now. This piece is new, unplayed, perfect condition. I handled it with gloves so that you could be the first to play it and put your own finger prints on. It is marked “larger throat low baffle for big darker tone” which sounds like just what I would want from an ideal baritone piece. The Lawton tone is big and dark while maintaining projection and getting punchy when pushed. This particular piece is marked “Special Model Made of Bell-Bronze” and is a 5*. This is the only bell bronze Lawton bari piece that I have seen, and it is very collectible in this kind of shape. Here’s a rare opportunity to get a pristine, vintage mouthpiece that is also top-quality and highly desirable.

Meyer New York Alto Metal 5 Tru-Flex Rare MPC217
This is one of the rarest pieces on the site right now. It’s an original 5 metal Meyer Bros Tru-Flex alto mouthpiece. It measures .075″ and has a large chamber and low baffle. There are some light surface scratches in the baffle area, where there was some gunk that needed to be cleaned out. And there’s a small amount of wear on the bite plate, but not much. Most of the original gold plating is intact, and the original slide on ligature is included and works well. This piece plays surprisingly well!

Meyer New York USA 5M Medium Chamber Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece Original! MPC395
$ 1,200This Meyer New York USA 5M Medium Chamber is in excellent original condition. It has a beautiful baffle, nicely curved sidewalls, and a nearly untouched appearance throughout. The tip opening measures a correct original 0.074″. The NYUSA 5M is kind of a gold standard of session alto playing, and comes across a bit brighter than the ‘Meyer Bros NY’ which immediately preceded this version. It’s a perfect do it all alto piece for the serious player.
