This is a beautiful example of a Buescher Big B Tenor saxophone. It has the original lacquer in a dark honey color that only the vintage Buescher’s are able to get. This is one of my favorite looks for a saxophone – this color lacquer and this Big B art deco engraving. Looks great!
This sax has had one small dent removed from the bow, and the neck was slightly pulled down and repaired. Besides that, there are no dents, no dings, no resolders, no past repairs etc. This horn has good pads (snap-ins are gone) and plays great! Many people do not realize just how good the Buescher tenors from around 300k serial number are. They have a big, complex, medium dark tone. The intonation is excellent, and the sound is so nice that you find yourself listening to yourself play!
This horn ships in the original case in good condition.
