This is a very clean, near mint Buffet SDA Alto SN# 19xxx with original lacquer and very little wear at all. This horn is super-clean with no dents or dings or resolders. The neck looks great and is not pulled down, and the keywork is nice and tight too. It is Selmer-like, but with a bigger sound overall and with lots of power. The tone is medium bright, and the keywork is quite comfortable. Like Selmers, these Super Dynactions are great horns for a wide range of playing, and they can still be bought at good prices in excellent condition. Some of my favorite Buffet’s have been in just this serial range, both on alto and tenor.

This is a very clean, near mint Buffet SDA Alto SN# 19xxx with original lacquer and very little wear at all. This horn is super-clean with no dents or dings or resolders. The neck looks great and is not pulled down, and the keywork is nice and tight too. There was a small dent removed from the back of the bow at some point, and it is very hard to tell now, unless you are used to looking for this kind of stuff. It currently has all original pads and is in line for some pad work. It plays nicely with a big, warm French core to the tone. It is Selmer-like, but with a bigger sound overall and with lots of power. The tone is medium bright, and the keywork is quite comfortable. Like Selmers, these Super Dynactions are great horns for a wide range of playing, and they can still be bought at good prices in excellent condition. Some of my favorite Buffet’s have been in just this serial range, both on alto and tenor.
