Description

The Conn 10M Tenor is easily one of the best vintage tenors made. It combines excellent intonation and comfortable keywork with a big, warm tone that remains focused and powerful. The earlier ones with rolled tone holes fetch high prices, but the slightly later ones like this are great deals for a very similar tone.

This horn is on consignment, and it is priced to sell. This horn has been played, and it has had a few dents removed from the back of the bow, front of the bell and from the edge of the bell flare. The strap hook is resoldered also. This horn was maintained by the current owner and has had pads replaced as needed, so they are sealing well. It’s not a fresh overhaul though. The case is original also, and this horn has a good looking double-socket neck as well.

Lots of players all over the world seem to be moving from modern horns to vintage Conn tenors specifically, because they are looking for a bigger, more complex and rich tone. This one is priced low to sell quickly, and it should be a very solid horn for someone. The case could be upgraded to a BAM or Hiscox if you want to discuss that.

We pay the best prices for great saxophones.
