Description

Is this the most beautiful King that I have ever photographed? It’s up there anyway. This horn has its original dark lacquer, full engraving on the lower key cups, three ring strap hook, double socket, solid silver neck, light, snappy action– it’s deluxe in every way. It also has a fresh overhaul, done well. For the collectors out there, this includes the original end plug, and it has its original purple leather case – the one with the little velvet bell strap. The low C keyguard has been resoldered, where it popped off, so the horn is not perfect. It’s fairly nice though.

The tone is solid, dark, projecting- Kings are their own thing. Don’t compare it to your Selmer or Yamaha. It’s a different sonic world. One you want to be a part of, if you have any sense. It’s the kind of horn that makes you want to play and play.

We pay the best prices for great saxophones.
