Description
This is a vintage Otto Link tenor mouthpiece that is really hard to beat. It’s a nearly perfect, unplayed, new old stock vintage Pompano Florida Super Tone Master in an effortless 6* tip. 6* is a sweet spot for me, personally. I can use a slightly harder reed than I typically use on a 7*, and I get a fatter, warmer, fuller tone. Measures .095″ and responds effortlessly. The original box, original ligature and cap are also included. Most vintage Links you buy these days have been messed with. This one is a time capsule. If you know your Links, the Florida USA has a higher, brighter baffle than the no USA, and gives you just enough punch to cut through without being a really bright mouthpiece. They’re nicer made than the Early Babbitt ones, but still have a good amount of projection. Someone’s going to play the heck out of this for the next 50 years I bet.
