Selmer Mark VI Alto Original Lacquer from 1967 Beautiful!

This is a beautiful, original lacquer Selmer Mark VI alto from 1967. It’s a 149xxx serial, which is just about the best range for a Mark VI alto in my opinion. The best VI alto version, all things considered, is between 136500-155000 or so. These horns have the total package: better intonation than many earlier VI altos, a big, free-blowing, resonant tone that is medium bright and still has the complexity and warmth of 5-digit altos. These also have the warm, honey colored lacquer of earlier VI altos. This is an American-engraved and assembled 140k alto with only a little bit of wear from use and one foot of the low Eb key guard has been reattached where it popped off. There’s a little ding in the inside of the bell about the side of a pencil eraser, or smaller. That’s about it condition wise. I don’t think this horn has been played very much since it was new. It has mostly original pads still! (Plan on a repad soon.) It comes in the original case too, and the original neck also looks great and has not been damaged. If you need an original 1960’s Selmer Soloist mouthpiece to complete the set, let me know. I always have some of those around, and I’ll give you a good deal on one to complete the set.
