Selmer Mark VI Tenor from 1955 Original Lacquer Great Overhaul!

This horn sounds great! It’s one of my favorite VI tenors in a long time, with an instantly fat, Sonny Rollins sort of tone–  what to me is basically the sound of 50’s mainstream jazz tenor. Original lacquer, fresh Matt Stohrer overhaul. Matt’s work is just the best, and the horn is mechanically super nice. It has a set of $120 reusable domed brass resonators that give it just the right amount of punch and are similar to the original Selmer ones. No significant cosmetic or structural problems either. No past damage; no resolders except for the little guard by the chromatic F#. No dents or dings. It’s a horn I can recommend without any reservations. And for a Mark VI from 1955, with and expensive overhaul, the price is really good.

We pay the best prices for great saxophones.
