Selmer Radio Improved Alto Saxophone 20xxx

Description

This is a beautiful example of an extensively engraved Radio Improved Alto saxophone, serial # 20xxx. This alto has old pads, and it is waiting in line for an overhaul. The Selmers from this period have a unique combination of rich core tone and a lyrical singing voice that makes them lots of fun to play. It has had one small dent removed from the front of the bow – no other dents, dings or past repairs.

This horn came with the matching clarinet, also stamped “Radio Improved” which is also in good shape, needing a repad, so it makes a nice set. I’m selling them together in the original trey-pak case.
