This is very good condition Selmer Super Action 80 Series II alto saxophone. The series II is the standard saxophone for serious study. It is the most popular professional Selmer saxophone ever made, having sold more than even the Mark VI, and it is the horn most highly-recommended by saxophone instructors in universities and private studios across the USA.
This particular horn has some light lacquer wear on the back of the bell and body tube, and a small dent was removed from the bell. Everything is now just as it should be. The neck is in excellent condition as well and has not been pulled down. It has good pads and has just been checked out by a very good saxophone technician, so that it is playing its best. It has a nice, French Selmer sound that is medium bright with some complexity. These horns work well with a range of different styles from classical to jazz, and they respond well to a range of mouthpiece options. This horn ships in an original case.
