Here is a great deal on one of the best vintage pro tenor saxophones, the SML Gold Medal 1. Besides being one of the most fun to play, it’s also one that is also still quite affordable, even in good original lacquer condition like this! This one is particularly a good deal. It’s 100% the same as a normal SML Gold Medal, but since it says Pichard on the bell (the name of the music store that sold it) you get about an extra $1k off the price. SML Stencils are the same as their normal models, so the only difference is what it says on the bell. The pads are original, so you’ll need to plan on an overhaul. It had some dents removed from the back of the bow, and is nice and clean and dent free now. The original neck is in excellent undamaged condition. If you want to get a Conn/Selmer hybrid tone with surprisingly comfortable keywork, SML is just about your only option. I have a Gold Medal 1 and a Coleman Hawkins Special SML myself, and I think they are at least twice as good players as the price would suggest.
