Dick Stabile was a great big band era alto player, so this may be considered a tenor piece for the swing era alto player. With straight sidewalls, medium tall-narrow chamber, no baffle. Tip opening measures 0.065″. This requires a very hard reed due to the small tip opening. High resistance, dark tone, not much projection. It would work well as is for classical chamber work, and is also good vintage hard rubber stock for those interested in refacing for more brightness and projection.
