This is a beautiful, near mint purple label Yamaha 62 alto. It has only a few light scratches on the back of the body, and the rest of the horn is basically perfect. It comes with the original case in excellent condition! All original condition. This is a super-clean example of one of the best modern altos period. It plays well with a medium bright tone, great intonation, and a more interesting-sounding core to the sound than most other Yamahas. These horns work well for every kind of playing, from serious saxophone study to jazz to rock and beyond (Dave Koz plays one of these for smooth jazz!). This is because they are really mouthpiece-friendly, and so you can change the overall sound a LOT based on what mouthpiece you use.
