The Yanagisawa A-880 is one of my favorite altos of all time, and this is the best 880 that I have played so far. This horn has only the lightest of wear. This horn sings with a medium bright tone with a nice substantial core to it. It sounds great for a wide range of styles of music, a lot like a Mark VI. The intonation is excellent, as is the build quality generally. It has a high F#. The ergonomics are modern and very comfortable. This horn will do it all, and it’s quite a bit cheaper than most other altos of this caliber.

It ships in the original case in excellent condition. The sale price includes having all of the pads replaced by Matt Stohrer, which is a really nice perk.
