Here is a rare horn to see for sale used. The Yanagisawa SC991 is widely held to be the best curved soprano saxophone ever made. It has the best ergonomics and the best intonation of any curved soprano. The tone is really rich and pleasant as well. I have to tell you that this is a really fun horn to play, and as it is my only soprano in stock right now, I will be especially sad to see it go. This horn was owned by a picky professional player who only plays the best horns. I don’t know how many Yanagisawa sopranos he has been through, but this was his keeper, until he found a Selmer tenor he had to have, and now this horn is available. It has no dents or dings or lacquer wear, and all the pads are sealing well from top to bottom. It is ready to go right out of the case. The case is in excellent condition as well.
