Tenor Guardala + Thin Body Brilhart Reproduction BB Screws Ligature for Tenor Saxophone Mouthpieces

$ 165

Best ligature around for a metal tenor mouthpiece! This gives you nice, balanced hold on the reed, which greatly improves response and reduces movement or reed swelling on the mouthpiece table. The metal reed plate fits the reed beautifully and opens up plenty of vibration. No deadening fabrics or strings here. Plus, this is made to the highest standards in South Korea by people who care about quality saxophone equipment. It’s a true reproduction down to the materials used, of the most desirable saxophone ligature ever made.

The BB Screws version differs from the plastic screws version mainly in appearance. I don’t hear much sound difference between the two. Get whichever you like best.

If you want the best ligature for a Guardala Handmade Michael Brecker 1 or 2, or a Guardala Handmade Studio, or any other metal Guardala handmade or laser cut metal tenor mouthpiece, this is it. This also fits a wide range of other slim body metal tenor mouthpieces like the Ishimori Anemos, Yanagisawa metal tenor mouthpieces and many others. For the larger body metal mouthpieces like Otto Link, get the Otto Link metal Brilhart reproduction ligature instead.

    WOW! Finally a great ligature that works wonders with my Guardala MBII…When my custom welded optimum went bad (15 years later) I went on the biggest ligature hunt and literally tried everything only to be disappointed every time. I tried everything from A-Z. We even tried recreating a new welded optimum, however we just couldn’t recreate the same magic from the 1st one. Everything else was way too dark, choked the reed (even when barely tightened), compressed the sound making it tighter or more directional vs. open, fat, rippy, punchy, easy to subtone while keeping a fat sound and not losing definition or clarity. When I saw the concept of the Echo Master it immediately caught my attention. I ordered it and immediately noticed it had the special “THING” I was looking for. It’s by far the best ligature for a guardala IMHO. It fits, looks nice, well made, it lets the mouthpiece be what is supposed to be…a fat, open, peel the paint off the wall guardala while maintaining the lush subtones… After figuring out the proper screw tension, ligature placement on mp(very important) it rocks! I know ligature choice opinions are subjective however I can attest that this lig helped me feel at peace and gave me the confidence to continue to pursue my goals as a aspiring musician. Thanks Brian for being so attentive, the black screws and super fast shipping! Looking forward to making music and not worrying about my lig problems anymore!

    I am usually not a gear guy – but Brian sold me a fantastic mouthpiece a few months back and I’ve been wanting to try this ligature on it. The fit is perfect (I’m playing a Transitional Dukoff) and the plate holds the reed very securely. It looks and feels great while staying functional as well. I would recommend this ligature to any of my friends or colleagues! 10/10
