This is a beautiful, handmade Leblanc Vito sopranino. It may be the only one remaining in the world, or there may be a handful of them that exist, but probably not more than that. Cosmetically, this horn is near mint, with basically all its original lacquer intact. There is also no past or current damage. It has its original case also in great shape. Playing wise, it sounds great. Really rich, warm, and pleasant, with a characteristic French lyrical core to the tone. Whether you want a cool one-of-a-kind sopranino to play that sounds great, or whether you want something rare and collectible, get it now – there’s only one available!

This is a beautiful, handmade Leblanc Vito sopranino. It may be the only one remaining in the world, or there may be a handful of them that exist, but probably not more than that. This horn was actually manufactured by Beaugnier, which was a small saxophone maker whose factory was across the street from Selmer in Mantes France during the middle of the 20th century. Leblanc bought Beaugnier, and they made saxophones under the Leblanc Vito brand for many years. Beaugnier made a full range of saxophones from sopranino to bass (possibly contrabass), and their instruments were of wonderfully high quality. They went out of business because their production costs were so high, and they refused to reduce the quality of workmanship that went into the saxophones!

Cosmetically, this horn is near mint, with basically all its original lacquer intact. There is also no past or current damage. It has its original case also in great shape. Playing wise, it sounds great. Really rich, warm, and pleasant, with a characteristic French lyrical core to the tone.

The pads are original on this one – it’s only original once, right? And it still plays ok on them, so why not leave it for now? Someone, somewhere should make a goal of assembling the full range of Beaugnier saxophones in one place. I have played sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone so far. I have seen a Bass. I have never seen a C Melody for sale yet though they were produced. And this is the only sopranino I have seen or can find evidence of online.
