SOLD but I wanted to post photos anyway. This beautiful Mark VI alto is in almost-new condition. The medium bow length gets introduced at 136500 or so on the Mark VI (my personal VI alto being one of the very first ones), and these early medium-bow VI altos are among the best sounding and overall nicest Mark VI altos that were made. David Sanborn made them famous in the saxophone world, and has bought up a ton of 136500-149xxx altos. He currently plays a 147xxx VI alto much like this, that he has owned for many years. They are justly famous, because these altos have the richness and tonal warmth of the early VI’s with the better tuning and low register response of the later VI altos. It’s a real sweet spot for quality, beauty, and collectibility.
