This is a very nice original lacquer Mark VI alto with about 98% of the original lacquer intact and with the rare High F# key. The VI altos in this range are typically very strong players with the best intonation of any of the Mark VI run. The sound is medium bright and rich with lots of character and flexibility. This sax has a fresh overhaul done by Matt Stohrer, who is one of the best saxophone specialists in the business. It also received American engraving by Sherry Huntley, a former master engraver for Selmer. It ships in the original case as well.
