This is the nicest Conn 26M alto that I have ever had for sale. It is the most desirable version with the very rare 30M-style neck. Original lacquer, no past repairs, no damage, original pads, original warranty card! For the Conn-enthusiast (and I am one big time) this horn gets those dopamine receptors firing at full strength.
The Connqueror series Conns were the most deluxe saxophones ever produced, with individual adjustment screws on every key, solid silver key touches, extra engraving, redesigned keywork, and special neck design like this one. This is one of only three examples that I have ever seen of the 26M with the awesome-looking 30M neck octave key design. And this is the nicest one of those, so it may be all-things-considered one of the best examples of a Conn 26M alto in the world. There is some toasted lacquer on the G# key cup, and that’s about the only wear on the horn at all. No past repairs, no dents or dings, no resolders, neck is not pulled down or damaged. It has all original parts intact. I think I can probably find a lyre screw to go with it! It even has almost entirely original pads still, so plan on an overhaul if you are going to play this regularly. Or keep it in original condition. It’s an amazing horn either way.
If you want a top top quality Conn alto, or just a jewel for your saxophone collection, this is the horn to get.
