I bought this horn just after it had had a fresh overhaul, but like most horns, it actually needs to be overhauled again to be really good. Price includes another overhaul done to your specifications, but I can sell it as is cheaper. It is just about my favorite vintage of Conn – transitional between the New Wonder II and the 6M “Artist” model, and early SN# but with 6M style keywork. If you have one of these for sale, please let me know, because I will pay a good price for it as my particular favorite.
There is not much to say condition wise on this one. It is mechanically clean with almost all the silver intact, no past repairs, original neck, original case. When this is overhauled, the silver will look basically new, and the horn will resonate like crazy. If you are looking for a ridiculous lead alto tone, talk to me about getting this horn with a fresh overhaul. It’s about the best that you could do for that.
